Decent folk/pop with just the slightest, occasional touch of psychedelia. Originals like “California Dreamin’,” “Monday, Monday,” “Look Through My Window,” and “Twelve Thirty” are quite good — Lou Adler’s production really suits the material. Most of the covers, especially “Dancing in the Street,” “Twist and Shout,” “My Girl,” and “Dream a Little Dream,” are to be avoided (though their take on Rodgers and Hart’s “Glad to be Unhappy” is quite good).

Not as good as the 20th Century Masters/Millenium Edition of their Greatest Hits – this contains a few misses.
